Beacon Terms and Conditions

By creating an account and using the Beacon mobile application, you agree to the following terms.

Eligibility

• You must be 13 years of age or older to use Beacon

Account Responsibility

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You agree to provide accurate information during registration

Acceptable Use

• You will not use Beacon to harass, spam, or send unwanted invitations to other users
• You will not create fake accounts or impersonate others
• You will not attempt to access other users' data or bypass security controls
• You will not use Beacon for illegal activity

Community Conduct and Content Policy

Beacon is built to help people connect in real life. To keep it safe, we enforce a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. By using Beacon, you agree to the following.

Prohibited content and conduct. You may not use Beacon to post, send, or share content that is harassing, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable, and you may not use Beacon to harass, abuse, harm, or impersonate any other person. This applies to all user-generated content, including profiles, crews, events, messages, and Signals.

Reporting. Any user can report objectionable content or abusive behavior from within the app. Reports can be submitted on users, events, Signals, and crews, and are routed to Beacon for review. We review reports and take appropriate action, which may include removing content or the responsible account.

Blocking. Any user can block another user at any time from within the app. Blocking prevents further contact between the two users and hides each user from the other across the app.

Enforcement. We reserve the right to remove content and to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates this policy, at our discretion and without prior notice. We aim to review reports and act on violations promptly.

SMS Communications

• By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS notifications about event invitations, RSVP updates, and related communications
• Message frequency varies based on your event activity
• Message and data rates may apply
• Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages at any time

Content

• You are responsible for the content of events, messages, and signals you create
• We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms

Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms
• You may delete your account at any time

Limitation of Liability

• Beacon is provided as-is without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the application

Changes

• We may update these terms at any time
• Continued use of Beacon after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms
