Beacon · Tester Guide

Light the beacon.

You're one of the first to try Beacon — the app for staying close to the people who matter. Two minutes to get it on your phone.

iPhone — needs an Apple ID · Android — needs a Google account
This is a test version. Beacon is still in development and shared here for testing only — expect a few rough edges, and things may change as we build. The full public release will arrive on the App Store and Google Play later on.

For iPhone

TestFlight
  1. On your iPhone, tap the invite link: testflight.apple.com/join/htWQpQXM
  2. If you don't have TestFlight yet, the App Store will offer it (it's free) — install it, then tap the link again.
  3. Tap Install to download Beacon.
  4. Open Beacon and create your account.

For Android

Google Play
  1. Make sure your phone's Play Store is signed in with a Google account.
  2. Join the tester group with that same account: groups.google.com/g/beacon-android-testers
  3. Open the tester link and tap Become a tester: play.google.com/apps/internaltest/4701342089495652508
  4. Tap the Google Play link it shows and install Beacon, then open it and sign up.

If it says you're not a tester yet, access can take an hour or two to switch on after you join the group — wait a bit and try the link again. You may also see a placeholder app name for the first day. Both are normal.

Bring your own people

Beacon isn't a social network. There's no "people you may know," no scanning your contacts, no strangers pushed at you — you decide exactly who's here.

So connecting takes one quick step: trade handles with the people you actually want on Beacon. Share yours, get theirs, then search their exact handle to send a friend request. Get a few of your people on board first — that's when Crews and the Signal really come alive.

Once you're in

Plan an EventPick a place, invite people, watch the RSVPs roll in.
Light The SignalOne tap — "Who's Out?" for casual, "I Need My People" when it matters.
